Security authorities develop their competence in National Cyber Security Exercise (KYHA19)

We organize the second national cyber security exercise, in short KYHA19tv (security authorities) 25-29 November 2019 at JAMK University of Applied Sciences. The participants of the exercise are among other Police of Finland, Valtori (Government ICT Centre), Cyber Security Centre of Finland (NCSC-FI) and Emergency Response Centre Finland. The Secretariat of the Security Committee participates in the planning of the KYHA19 exercise and observes the actual exercise implementation as part of the execution of cyber security strategy and development of cyber security.

The  bulletin of Security Committee discusses the change of Cyber Security Strategy due to the change in the operational environment. The purpose of the Cyber Security Strategy is to support the availability of reliable digital services and development of business. On the national level, the key objectives are the development of cyber operational environment and the securing of vital operations related to this.

Finland’s Cyber Security Strategy contains three main strategic policies: development of international cooperation, better coordination of the management, planning and preparedness of cyber security and the development of cyber security competence.

The security authorities develop their competence and operation in the national cyber security exercise according to the main guidelines of the Cyber Security Strategy.
